fond-ecran-juin-2010

After a long absence, and I apologize to those who waited at least the wallpaper (thank you to those who have expressed interest in these Wallpapers), I return with news and a lot of things to come. The winter was fairly busy, so, the blog has grown a little background. Add a few worries connection (anything from two weeks ...), and a lot of hours on the train and other vehicles to go on shooting sessions, and you get two months without publishing an article. When will the days of 72 hours? Regardless, it all falls into place gradually.

Interview: I begin with news from the site "LesPhotographes.com" for which I gave an interview last year. The editors have been busy and have recently published a collection of interviews in 2009 paper. You will discover the work of fifty photographers including among others Peter Cimburek , " Johnny Collangette , Francois Benveniste , you definitely need to know if you are familiar with forums and photos to the "blogosphere". The collection is available in two versions, one in black and white for 5 €, and another color for 25 €. To order, visit the website LesPhotographes.com .

affiche-AEF-der Show: The city of La Clayette Burgundy organizing the 6th edition of its Festival of Contemporary Art "Art-in-Day" from July 16 to August 8. A dozen artists working in different fields like painting, sculpture, printmaking, video will be represented and I would participate in this event by providing a photo exhibition. I will give more details about the show in a forthcoming article, but you can find information about the festival by visiting Art-in-party .

Gacilly: A photo festival not to miss if you're in the Morbihan, "People and Nature" in The Gacilly which runs from June 4 to September 30. I'll do a jump and there will devote a small section.

Desktop Backgrounds: These necklaces are made of carnations on the occasion of Diwali, a Hindu festival annually.

While my host Tiza went about their daily business I was trying to still life. Seeing his incessant comings and goings, it gave me the idea to incorporate a bit of movement in the image. This will be the wallpaper for the month of June, still available in two sizes.

The month of February was quite hectic, and I had to leave the blog side ... to better prepare projects that accumulate. The end of winter will leave me more time to publish. To follow ;-)

fond-ecran-fevrier-2010

I am hiking with friends in Nepal Helambu region, not far from the Kathmandu Valley and we have walked for three or four days. So far, the weather we had been rather painful and would not improve.

The day had not started very well: we had started the day a bit too late, the rain kept falling, and we were long overdue to arrive before the next night at the shelter. The day fading away and we began to be exhausted.

While we take a short break before tackling the remaining two hours to arrive at the shelter, this magnificent sight met us. The last rays of sunlight seeping through the subtle cloud cover, and a band of rain made the scene even more impressive. I took my camera off a couple times, then five minutes later we were in total darkness ... We still had two hours to walk to reach the shelter, of course the rain did not spare us before we arrived, but we have reached our destination without hassle.

So much work to give you a wallpaper ...

Best wishes to all and to all!

For the first wallpaper of 2010, I offer a bunch of "Kalkalo. This vegetable is used in some parts of Nepal. On the edge cut into thin slices, then dried in the sun it is then stored and eaten during the winter. It is usually prepared with other vegetables and spices to make the Dhal-bhat, the national dish of Nepal.

fond-ecran-dec-2009

The last wallpaper for this year 2009, with a sunset in Nepal. It's been several days since I came to the same place to photograph the landscape, hoping to have beautiful clouds or stormy weather, without success. Then finally, one evening, a special guest appeared and the moon got rewarded with a thin crescent of light ...

The wallpaper is available as usual in two dimensions.

A bit of sweetness to start this September with the glow of muted northern Laos. I took this picture during a trek a few kilometers from the Chinese border. It was just before going to bed and I noticed this particular light with the light bar. I was no explanation for this band, I just took my camera, framed and fired ...

The last two months have been quite busy for me, and I spent very little time (see very, very little) to the photo. The storm is over, and now I can take my projects with my next trip to Nepal.

Stick around, there will be a little more article from this week. ;-)

1280 x 800
2560 x 1600

I took this photo while walking in a village in southern Laos on one of the 4,000 islands of the Mekong. Distracted by my way, these kids gave me this nice smile.

This image will be part of my next exhibition which I speak to you again soon ...
